Meet the two partners behind the creation of K-Oui Patisserie
Hankyul Kim
Pastry Chef
Hankyul grew up in Ulsan South Korea and started his chef carreer in Australia in a fish and chips shop. After 2years of training in Le Cordon Bleu Wellington he became a french pastry Chef in 2016. He has then developped his skills working in some of the best restaurants in Wellington as Pastry Chef and Cuisine Chef.
Eva Nivet
Pastry Chef
Eva grew up in Limoges France and after working 6 years as an accountant she started working as commis pastry chef in New Zealand in 2018. Her love for cooking and baking brought her to work in different restaurants, cafes and bakeries in the windiest capital of the world and learn as much as she could since then . Hankyul was her first mentor and french patisserie teacher in Hippopotamus restaurant in Wellington where they met.
Why K-Oui ?
‘K’ for Korea, ‘Oui’ is the french ‘Yes’, pronounce K-Wi , it sounds like Kiwi and New-Zealand is our new beloved home as well as the country where we met and created K-Oui.

You can buy our products every Saturdays at the Nelson market and every Sundays at Motueka market.
Our petits fours are available at Sublime coffee shops located on New Street, Haven Road, or at the Airport.
Additionally, you can order from us and collect your purchase directly from our kitchen in Nelson.

For a nibble table, morning or afternoon tea alongside other food we recommand to order 1.5 to 2 petits fours per persons.
For dessert we recommand 2 to 3 petits fours per person.
We offer free delivery in Nelson from 16 petits fours upon previous agreement by message, phone call or email. We are happy to deliver further for an extra fee. We provide refregirated delivery for extra freshness. Get it touch if you need delivery.
